FAQ’s
What do I wear to class?
Comfortable, non-restrictive clothing such as leggings and a t-shirt or tank top. Wear a top layer of warm clothing to remove as necessary. You are invited to participate bare foot, but if socks are worn, please bear in mind that socks are slippery.
For restorative yoga, wear warm, comfortable clothing, including socks and remove watches, hair grips, glasses and any jewellery that may dig in when you lie down.
Do I need to bring my own mat?
No, mats are provided, along with props to aid you in your poses. You are of course welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer!
I’m a beginner, what classes can I attend?
Beginners are always very welcome to drop in and join any of the classes on the timetable. Modifications are offered to all poses and it is beneficial to see yogis at all levels practicing in order to appreciate how accessible it is.
I’m not flexible enough for yoga?
This is a complete myth! It’s one of many reason you come to yoga. The beauty of flexibility is that you can see the results over a few weeks and months, providing you practice regularly.
I’ve never tried yoga before, can I have a taster class?
Yes, a £5 taster class is offered for your first class. It is also offered to experienced yogis who just want to try out a class at Ellie Stafford Yoga.
I’m an experienced yogi, can I take advantage of the £5 taster class?
Yes, you are welcome to a £5 taster class at Ellie Stafford Yoga
If I can’t make it to class one week, do I lose my credit?
No, the 5 and 10 class credits have a generous time allotted to them, to allow for holidays and illness etc.
Can I use my credits for any of the classes on the timetable?
The 5 and 10 Vinyasa Flow class credits are for the Vinyasa Flow classes only. They can not be used for the Restorative Yoga workshops or any of the other special workshops on the timetable (such as Acroyoga).
If I can’t make it to class, how long do I get to cancel a booking?
For all classes (with the exception of Restorative Yoga), you may cancel a booking up to an hour in advance.
48 hours notice is required for the cancellation of a Restorative Yoga workshop.
